Data Modeling with GeneXproTools
GeneXproTools is an easy to learn and use modeling system that takes you from data loading to model creation and analysis with a minimum number of steps. It can be used in many different fields such as risk management, financial services, marketing, and in most scientific research areas to extract knowledge from multivariate data, giving you insights into hidden patterns and relationships. GeneXproTools creates models for Function Finding, Logistic Regression, Classification, Time Series Prediction and Logic Synthesis problems. You can export the models to 16 different programming languages ready to be integrated with your backend systems or you can use the included scoring system to process new data.
GeneXproTools has a modern and clean interface that lets you choose between a hands-off minimal fuss approach and an advanced down to the smallest detail operation. It also brings the power of modern learning algorithms to the desktop integrating the latest advances in evolutionary computation with standard statistical measures and techniques producing best of breed models and giving you an edge over using both approaches separately. GeneXproTools is also an extensible platform that lets you create your own fitness functions and two types of custom functions (UDFs and DDFs) using JavaScript. It is also possible to add fitness functions written in different languages when wrapped in a COM component. Finally the code generation infrastructure can easily be extended with the addition of new grammars which are simple XML files.
Logistic Regression Analytics Platform
The goal in Logistic Regression is to assign probabilities to model scores, creating a reliable ranking system that can be used straightaway to evaluate the risk involved in financial and insurance applications, to rank potential respondents in a marketing campaign, or to evaluate the risk of contracting a disease.
The Logistic Regression Framework of GeneXproTools builds on the models it generates with its evolutionary algorithms and then applies the canonical logistic regression technique to estimate probabilities for each model score. And once you know the probability of an event, you can also make categorical predictions and consequently infer crisp confusion matrixes.
Thus, with its new Logistic Regression Framework, GeneXproTools offers a highly robust hybrid system in which sophisticated multivariate nonlinear models are easily created by evolution and then empowered by traditional statistical modeling techniques.
With the Logistic Regression Framework of GeneXproTools you can:
- Perform Quantile Analysis and Regression of your model scores
- Build and analyze ROC Curves
- Determine Optimal Cutoff Points for your model scores
- Perform detailed analyses of Gains and Lift Charts
- Create powerful Logistic Regression Models

Microsoft award winning GeneXproTools is an extremely flexible modeling tool designed for Function Finding, Logistic Regression, Classification, Time Series Prediction, and Logic Synthesis. GeneXproTools is very easy to use and as soon as you learn how to load your data, you will be able to generate a model immediately as GeneXproTools comes with a series of templates that only require a mouse click for you to design a good model. There are four editions of GeneXproTools: Standard, Advanced, Professional, and Enterprise. Academic Versions are available both for the Professional and Enterprise editions.
GeneXproTools can process datasets with tens of thousands of variables and effortlessly extract the most significant features and their relationships. GeneXproTools is also a very user-friendly application simplifying the access to all types of data stores from raw text files to databases and Excel spreadsheets. You don't need to know any programming language to create accurate and complex models. GeneXproTools provides all the necessary features to load training and testing sets, generate models, perform statistical analysis of the results and apply immediately the model to any new database using its flexible scoring engine. If you want to integrate the generated models with other applications, GeneXproTools lets you translate them to up to 16 different programming languages (Ada, C, C++, C#, Fortran, Java, Java Script, Matlab, Pascal, Perl, PHP, Python, Visual Basic, VB.Net, Verilog, and VHDL).
High quality models
GeneXproTools generates models that are at the same time very accurate and have a high power of generalization. You can observe and test these characteristics using the twelve sample runs that ship with GeneXproTools or by using your own data. In demo mode, GeneXproTools lets you load your data, create models and review the statistical analysis of those models. With the sample runs there are no restrictions and thus you can explore and learn the complete workflow, from model structure and code generation to model evaluation and model simplification. The models created from your own data in demo mode are unlocked as soon as you purchase a license of GeneXproTools. The application can function in demo mode indefinitely.Unlimited variables and samples
This new version of GeneXproTools can process any number of samples and variables, limited only by the computer resources available. In practical terms a modern computer processes datasets with over one or two million cells effortlessly, processing, in this case, around five generations per second using the default settings. The new file format can load this amount of data in a few seconds and store it very efficiently.Easy to use
GeneXproTools is by far the most accessible predictive modeling tool in the market hiding the complexity behind simple wizards and concepts familiar to anyone with basic computer knowledge. Around the world people with all levels of expertise are making groundbreaking discoveries and creating extraordinary new products because GeneXproTools provides the ideal modeling platform for any research field. At first sight GeneXproTools is a surprisingly simple data analysis application. And you can use it at that level and still reap all the benefits of a revolutionary modeling platform. As your knowledge of the tool progresses you will find many new ways of increasing the effectiveness of your work and improve your results even further.

Videos
This quick tour to Classification uses a well-known dataset for diagnosing breast cancer as either benign (0) or malignant (1). It covers all the basic steps of predictive modeling, including: (1) Loading training and testing data, (2) Creating a model, (3) Evaluating the predictive accuracy of a model, (4) Generating code automatically, (5) Optimizing a model, (6) Simplifying a model, (7) Choosing the set of functions to work with, (8) Choosing different architectures or model plans, (9) Experimenting with different numerical constants, (10) Exploring different fitness functions, and (11) Making predictions with the evolved models. All the video takes are real-time modeling sessions without cuts to give you a feel for how easy it is to model with GeneXproTools. The dataset used throughout the video consists of a total of 524 cases, of which 350 are used for training (that is, for building the models) and 174 for testing the predictive accuracy of the generated models.
This quick tour to Function Finding shows how to do nonlinear regression with GeneXproTools using real-world production data of 446 firms with three independent variables. It covers all the basic steps of evolutionary modeling, including: (1) Loading training and testing data, (2) Creating a model, (3) Evaluating the predictive accuracy of a model, (4) Generating code automatically, (5) Optimizing a model, (6) Simplifying a model, (7) Choosing the set of mathematical functions to work with, (8) Choosing different architectures or model plans, (9) Experimenting with different numerical constants, (10) Exploring different fitness functions, and (11) Making predictions with the evolved models. All the video takes are real-time modeling sessions without cuts to give you a feel for how easy it is to model with GeneXproTools. In this particular case, you’ll see that explaining Production as a function of Labor, Material, and Capital is an easy problem for GeneXproTools and exceptionally good models are obtained in virtually all runs.
